About
What this site is, how it is researched, and how it makes money.
What Zanzibar Insider is
An independent guide to Zanzibar, built for people planning a trip rather than scrolling inspiration. The guides are practical and specific: which beach fits which trip, what a week should look like, and the visa, insurance and logistics details that catch travellers out.
We do not invent visits. Pages are researched from current official sources (immigration portals, government announcements, operator listings), and every page shows the date it was last updated. When something changes, the page changes and the date moves.
How the site makes money
Some links on this site are affiliate links, mainly to tour and hotel booking platforms. If you book through one of them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never decide what we recommend: pages are written first, and links are attached afterwards. Where we list a booking link, the same trip is usually available elsewhere at a similar price.
Privacy
No accounts, no forms, no tracking pixels beyond aggregate, privacy-friendly traffic measurement. We do not collect or store personal information.
Corrections
Travel details drift: fees change, boats move, rules update. If something here is out of date, we want to know: every page carries its last-updated date and fixes ship fast.
